About NFALAganza! 2026

As we celebrate AAPI Heritage Month and welcome the start of Pride, we honor our kapatids, our diverse intersectional identities, and our shared struggle for civil rights. We say “Happy Pride” knowing that this journey looks different for everyone, some have lost family while coming out, some live in places where celebrating is unsafe, some are quietly discovering who they are, and some are experiencing their very first Pride.

NFALAganza is our commitment to creating a safe, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ community members and the allies who love and support them.

Last year, the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA) hosted the first in‑person NFALAganza! at the historic Stonewall Inn in New York City, following several years of virtual and hybrid drag performances featuring both professional queens and our own NFALA members from across the country. By showcasing our in‑house talent and showing up authentically, we rebuilt community after the pandemic and raised critical scholarship funds for courageous and deserving law students. This year, we hope to continue that momentum creating an event where law students can learn about scholarship opportunities and where Hawaiʻi Filipino Lawyers Association (HFLA) members can connect, celebrate, and support the next generation.

NFALA President Jeff Javinar, the NFALA LGBTQIA+ Committee, and our own HFLA leaders: Jeanilou Maschhoff, Brianne Zamora and Joey Badua, and warmly invite you to join us for one or all of the NFALAganza events on June 19–21, 2026. Your presence strengthens our community, deepens our solidarity, and helps build meaningful connections between local and national advocates, allies, and leaders.
